This job is not for just anyone. We're looking for a passionate player who knows their way around the internet and can evangelize WhitePages to anybody and everybody who could benefit from it. As our primary online marketer and online PR representative you won’t be using a template, so be prepared to bring your creativity and enthusiasm!!
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the tactical execution of our SEO strategy
- Research, identify and establish partnerships with authoritative web sites for link-building.
- Perform online PR duties:
- Perform social media monitoring and engagement where both awareness and SEO benefits are possible
- Will need to post thoughtful, well written comments on relevant blogs
- Promote WhitePages using social media (i.e. monitor Twitter searches and make recommendations.)
- Will collaborate with outside PR vendor to identify relevant articles for submission ensuring search-engine friendly copy.
- Works with graphic designers to develop creative methods of generating awareness and links.
- Responsible for working cross functionally to help develop and execute internal blog strategy.
- Reviews and manages blog posts to ensure proper anchor text distribution.
- Works with sites to correct mal-formed links
- Responsible for maintaining logs of successful and unsuccessful link building activities.
- Utilizes tools to analyze links and monitor competitors.
- Under manager's direction responsible for keeping up-to-date on latest search tactics, methods and best practices.
- Provides continuous evaluation of social media vendors on the direction and execution of social media plan as it pertains to generating links and awareness.
- Review and expand existing marketing models for gathering leads.
Technical knowledge, skills and abilities:
- BS/BA degree in Marketing desired
- 2 - 5 years successful experience in SEO, digital marketing and or marketing required
- Experience in transforming a strategy and vision into actionable plans.
- Proven knowledge and understanding of marketing and branding principles desired.
- Well organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience using web analytics solutions (Omniture, Google Analytics), SEM (SEO/PPC)
- Experience remaining flexible and nimble in a fast moving and fluid environment.
- Knowledge of SEO ethics and the ability to write effective marketing text and headlines strongly desired.
- Experience and or knowledge in developing/managing and analyzing key metrics a huge plus but not required.
- Solid communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Expertise in MS Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Understand, support, and exemplify WhitePages' values, mission, vision and brand pillars through actions and behaviors.
